Using Explore Somerset Map (ROAM)
Overview
Somerset Council has provided an online service that enables you to view its Public Rights of Way Network.
This allows you to look at existing public footpaths, bridleways and byways as well as report and track issues.
To access the network, go to https://roam.somerset.gov.uk/roam/map.
The best way to become acquainted with its capabilities is to learn the basics, described below, then let yourself loose.
Using ROAM

Searching The Network
At the top left of the map, there is a box that you can use to search items within the network.
For example:
-
If you have logged an issue, you can type your unique reference number into the search box, click the relevant item in the dropdown, and be taken to the details of the issue.
-
Search for a specific footpath, e.g. type T25/21 to be shown details of that footpath.
-
Search for an asset, e.g. type 981 and select the asset you require from the dropdown to be taken to a description.
